Goodnight, my sweet asparagi

One of those days of finishing unfinished business. And still not getting enough done.

The one thing that cost me the most mud, sweat and tear-ing at tools was moving the asparagi left to move by the friend who opened that particular business. Which she did at my request so no complains.

That said it was hard work. Three of the plants stood in nice, loose soil. Two were in clay. All five had to go into weed-rich, heavy soil. It was a feeling nigh on triumph to stand back and see them in their new places and tuck them all in for the resting season.

They’re bedded down in weed. Sea weed!
